OPTOHUB announces optical rotary joint integrated with electrical slip ring aimed at enabling shadow less surgical lights and industrial equipment.

Saitama, Japan September 28, 2020 – OPTOHUB Co., Ltd. (“OPTOHUB”), a supplier of optical components, modules, and equipment, today announced the availability of its optical rotary joint. The DE-G055 is an optical rotary joint to pass optical signals across rotating interfaces, maintaining the intrinsic advantages of fiber end to end. DE-G055 combines an electrical slip ring to transmit electrical power. It is suitable for applications which need transmitting large data or video signals from static device to rotary position such as shadow less surgical lights and industrial equipment. The DE-G055 is high reliable and an oil-free product, utilizing unique micro-optics and YAG welding technologies.
